Position Descriptions
FOOD VENDORS
Contact returning businesses and seek out new prospective food vendors, trucks and carts to provide food throughout the festival. Coordinate vendor placements and additional logistics including power and other amenities. Plan and help set costs for festival menus to ensure there is a wide variety of dietary options and offerings are reasonably priced. Ensure vendors meet all park and local regulations. Prior to and during the festival, manage a volunteer team to direct vendors where to park/load/unload and assist with any setup needs throughout the event.
MARKETPLACE
Primary responsibilities include managing registration of the festival marketplace vendors including past registrants as well as new prospects. Coordinate booth placements and additional logistics including tents, power and other amenities. Ensure vendors meet all park and local regulations. Prior to and during the festival, manage a volunteer team to direct vendors where to park/load/unload and assist with any setup needs throughout the event.
PARADE
Primary responsibilities include managing registration of parade participants including past registrants as well as new individuals, small and large businesses and non-profit organizations. Coordinate entrants’ placements and ensure that all registered groups meet local and park regulations. Prior to and during the festival, manage a large volunteer team to organize parade groups upon arrival, direct parade flow and help with dispersal.
PARK
Leaders are in charge of transforming a pristine park into a festival in the time span of a day, then bringing it back to its original condition the night after. Coordinate logistics throughout Lake Eola Park to ensure everything has a place and that all guest resources/amenities (such as portalets, bars, ATMs, etc.) are well placed and easily located. Should be familiar with map visualization and drawing software.
SAFETY
Interface closely with local city, county and other officials on all safety protocols including but not limited to area security, parade logistics and park regulations. During the festival this team will also be responsible for assisting with and managing cash operations as well as ensuring that all vendors, parade participants and other activations are compliant with local and park regulations.
SPONSORWALK
Work with the sponsorship committee to organize logistics and placement for all sponsors attending the festival. Coordinate sponsor placements and additional logistics including power and other amenities. Ensure sponsors meet all park and local regulations. Prior to and during the festival, manage a volunteer team to direct vendors where to park/load/unload and assist with any setup needs throughout the event.
VIP EXPERIENCE
Coordinate planning and day-of logistics for the VIP Experience area at the festival including working with vendors to supply shelter, food and beverage, decor and other needs. Oversee management of ticket registrations and work with marketing and communications to publicize. During the festival, manage a volunteer team to work the VIP Experience, assisting guests with ticket verification and other service areas.
SUSTAINABILITY
Review internal processes and provide recommendations on ways to make our organization and events more environmentally sustainable. Should have an understanding of best practices with regards to recycling, energy consumption and other applicable areas.
